About Us
Newnham and Son was formed when father and son, Roger and Edward Newnham, decided to join forces in 2008. Roger is an FCA (fellow of ICAEW), has been in practice for over 50 years, and has had his own practice for over 40 years.
Edward qualified as an ACMA (associate of chartered institute of management accountants) in 2006, coming from a commercial background, and decided a change from corporate life would be more rewarding.
Fast forward to the present, and whilst Roger is now happily retired, Newnham and Son is still working hard to respect our core value of modern thinking with a traditional attitude to client care.
Husband and wife team Edward and Chloe run the practice together with a team of expert accountants, tax advisors, payroll experts and bookkeeping gurus.
Whilst much has changed, our emphasis is and always will be on providing a personal, bespoke service, to all our clients.

Meet the Team
Ed qualified in 2006 as an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has over 13 years commercial experience primarily working for ExxonMobil in management reporting, financial accounting, and tax.
Ed moved into the practice in 2012 to join forces with his father, Roger Newnham, in order to form Newnham & Son Ltd.
Ed performs a management role within the practice and undertakes private client work.
Chloe has a background in HR and Finance having previously worked in the IT Sector, holding a postgraduate qualification in human resource management.
Chloe joined the practice in 2016 to join forces with husband Edward and father-in-law Roger.
Chloe looks after all the bookkeeping and finance admin as well as the general running of the practice.
Stephanie is a chartered accountant and has over 15 years of experience in accounts preparation and audit, working with both sole traders, small owner-managed businesses and large corporates.
Having worked in audit for 11 years, Stephanie joined Newnham and Son in 2015 and primarily focuses on accounts preparation.
Sarah is ICB qualified. After working for an FTSE 100 Company for 13 years, Sarah was Payroll Manager responsible for 4 million payrolls per month, and then the Accounting Services manager responsible for Purchase ledger and expenses for regional teams for Western Europe.
Sarah is our payroll and pensions manager and also acts as a bookkeeper for a number of our clients.
Shaun is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience in both practice and industry. Shaun specialises in providing accountancy and tax compliance services to sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across sectors including retail, construction, agriculture, and manufacturing.
He trained in Accountancy Practice, gaining extensive experience in accounts preparation, tax compliance, audit, and insolvency. Shaun plays a hands-on role in delivering management accounts, payroll, VAT, and CIS services, and is particularly experienced in remote and on-site management accounting.
